Frequently asked questions.

Answers to the questions we are asked most often before an order.

Orders and lead times

Is there a minimum quantity?

No. We make parts from a single piece up to series of 50,000.

How quickly will I receive a quote?

Usually within 24 to 48 hours. Quotes are free and without obligation. Only projects that require a study, such as a custom machine, may be subject to a study offer.

Can you handle an urgent job?

Yes, depending on the workshop's workload, and at no extra cost. Call us directly on +41 22 786 24 80.

Do you offer blanket orders?

Yes. For your series, we can set up an annual order delivered in batches as you need them.

Drawings and confidentiality

Which file formats do you accept?

PDF, STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG, as well as SolidWorks and Fusion 360 files.

I don't have a drawing. Can you help?

Yes. A sample or a simple sketch is enough: we take the measurements and draw the part ourselves.

Do you sign non-disclosure agreements?

Yes. Send us your agreement and we will sign it before receiving your drawings.

Materials and quality

Can I supply my own material?

Yes, whatever it is: gold, platinum or a special material.

What precision can you achieve?

We routinely hold a tolerance of ±0.01 mm, on parts up to about 200 mm.

Do you provide inspection documents?

Yes, on request: measurement report and certificate of conformity. Our quality system has been ISO 9001:2015 certified since 2005.

Do you handle treatments and finishing?

Deburring and cleaning are done in our workshop. Treatments such as hardening, anodising or electroplating are carried out by trusted partners. We take care of everything.

Delivery and payment

How are parts delivered?

You can collect them from our workshop in Geneva, or we ship them anywhere in Switzerland and abroad.

What are your payment terms?

Invoices payable within 30 days for parts. A deposit is required for machines.

Our machines

What do you offer with our machines (Côtes de Genève machine, ERI CNC control, ERI F3 milling machine)?

Installation and training, maintenance and after-sales service, spare parts, and a demonstration in our workshop by appointment.

Visits and contact

Can I visit the workshop?

Yes, by appointment, at the Centre artisanal du Simplon, our workshop since 1975.

Which languages do you speak?

French and English.

Another question?

A drawing, a sample or just an idea is enough to get started. You talk directly to a technician.
